- This YMCA has two pools open daily, one of which is a new outdoor facility. The non-member fee is $5 for adults ($10 for lap lanes), $1.50 for seniors and children under 12.

- The historic Plunge in Mission Beach has been a part of Belmont Park since 1925. The recently renovated pool has 10 lap lanes, an indoor viewing area and a full gym facility. Call for admission information.

- 4. Pacific Beach:
- Pacific Beach is a favorite spot for college kids and locals, with a party going on almost every day (and night). If you're looking to sunbathe and take a mellow dip, this is the beach for you.
- 5. North Pacific Beach:
- If you're looking for a quieter beach, families tend to prefer North Pacific Beach for its lifeguard-supervised swimming areas and facilities at the ends of Law and Diamond Streets.
- 6. Ocean Beach:
- Ocean Beach is an excellent beach and a great place to sunbathe, relax and take a swim.
- 7. Black's Beach
- If you're looking for a traditional swim, the north section where the highway runs adjacent to the beach is excellent. If you like to sunbathe in the nude, the southern part of the beach is for you.
