ARCO U.S. Olympic Training Center

San Diego Olympic Training Center
San Diego Olympic Training Center

Olympic athletes are busy year-round at the ARCO U.S. Olympic Training Center, an all-weather, 150-acre complex, one of just four official Olympic Training Centers in the country. The center trains 4,000 athletes per year, providing them with state of the art facilities for archery, rowing, canoeing, kayaking, soccer, softball, field hockey, tennis, track and field, and cycling.

Facilities here include North American's largest permanent archery range, an artificial all-weather field hockey surface, four soccer fields, a 15,000-square-foot canoe/kayak and rowing boat house, four tennis courts, a 400-meter track and a cycling criterion course.

The ARCO Center boasts the largest permanent archery range in North America, an all-weather hockey field, a 15,000 square foot boathouse, four soccer fields, and four tennis courts. In addition to those stellar facilities, the center provides a 400 meter track, six acres or field events and a cycling course. Future planned facilities include an aquatic complex and a gymnasium.

Visitors are treated to a birds-eye view of the campus from the Olympic Path, where they can see training fields and tracks, athlete dorms, and Otay Lake Reservoir.

Free tours are offered daily starting at the Copley Visitor Center. You can purchase Olympic souvenirs (and support the athletes) at the Olympic Spirit Store.
