The Wave Waterpark

San Diego The Wave waterpark
San Diego The Wave Waterpark

With something for all ages, the Wave Waterpark in Vista features water activities from the child-friendly Rippity's Rainforest and the Little Dipper Kiddie Slide to the adrenaline-pumping, turbulent Flash Flood slide and Slam Dunk, a 35-foot drop in total darkness.

Open from May to September, this $3.8 million state of the art aquatic park is operated by the city of Visa, and includes five three-story waterslides, an endless wave, a competition-size swimming pool, a children's water playground, and a slow-moving river where visitors can relax on inner-tubes.

Try the Salsa Twist, Flash Flood, or Tubulation, twisting and turning chutes that deposit riders into shallow tide pools 35 feet below.

The Flow Rider provides a perfect endless wave, while on the Riptide slide, riders tube down in a big splash to the Rio Loco.

The park also includes a bathhouse and concession area.
